Suo moto: CJP questions hike in POL prices

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhary remarked today that the parliament has not yet approved the finance bill, therefore, it is not possible to implement tax on petroleum products, Geo News reported.

The Chief Justice has also taken a suo moto notice of the incraese in petroleum products prices in pakistan as one percent increase in the sales tax was proposed in the fedearl budget of new financial year 2013-14 of Pakistan.
