<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Alison Michelle Ernst, 36, was given a misdemeanor disorderly conduct summons and freed after she was booked at the Clark County jail, according to a Las Vegas police arrest report.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">"Ms. Ernst appeared to be in an agitated state but aware of what she had just done," the report said.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Ernst could face up to a year in the county lockup if she is convicted of violating a county ordinance during the Thursday incident at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">She is accused of bypassing security and walking quickly toward a rope line about six rows from the front of a conference audience. </span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Police say she reached into a purse, removed the shoe and threw it overhand toward the stage.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Clinton ducked and wasn´t struck. She appeared startled but quickly cracked a couple of jokes before continuing her keynote speech to the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries.</span><br />

<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">The United States and France are among the countries that signed an interim nuclear agreement with Tehran. The agreement halts progress on the Islamic republic's nuclear program in exchange for easing international sanctions. Talks on a final deal begin next week in Vienna, Austria.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Speaking on companies doing business with Iran in violation of sanctions still in place, Obama said, "We will come down on them like a ton of bricks" if they don't hold up their end.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">The Obama administration has objected to the interest French businesses have shown in Iran since the sanctions were eased. More than 100 French executives visited Tehran last week, a trip Secretary of State John Kerry told his counterparts in Paris was "not helpful."</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Hollande said he told the French businessmen that sanctions remain in effect and no commercial agreements can be signed without a long-term, comprehensive nuclear deal. But he said he's not president of the French employer's union and companies make their own travel decisions.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">The United States and France also have been working to end the violent civil war in Syria, a former French colony. But peace talks between the Syrian government and opposition forces have gained no traction.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Obama acknowledged that Syrian peace talks are far from reaching their goal.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">"There's enormous frustration here," he said of the negotiations.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">An agreement to strip Syria of its chemical weapons stockpiles is being carried out. But there are concerns on both sides of the Atlantic that Syria is stalling on its obligations.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">When Obama threatened a military strike against Syria following a chemical weapons attack there last year, France was the only European ally ready to join that effort.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Obama said the United State and France have rebuilt a relationship that "would have been unimaginable even a decade ago," after President George W. Bush launched an unpopular war against Iraq.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">There has been some tension between the U.S. and its allies in Europe and elsewhere following revelations that their leaders had been subject to spying from the National Security Agency.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Obama said there is no country with which the United States has "a no-spy agreement." But he says the United States endeavors to protect privacy rights as it collects foreign intelligence.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Hollande said he and Obama "clarified things" about the spying revelations and "mutual trust has been restored."</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">"That mutual trust must be based on respect for each other's country but also based on protection, protection of private life, of personal data, the fact that any individual, in spite of technological progress, can be sure that he's not being spied on. These are principles that unite us," Hollande said.</span><br />
<span id="ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetail" style="font-style: normal;">Obama also announced that he's accepted Hollande's invitation to travel to France for the June 6 ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy.</span><br />

<b>NEW DELHI: A court sentenced two married dentists to life in prison Tuesday for killing their 14-year-old daughter and their housekeeper, resolving a 5-year-old case that dominated headlines and polarized Indians.</b><br />

Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, from the New Delhi suburb of Noida, had reportedly broken down in tears when they were convicted Monday and vowed to appeal the verdict.<br />

Defense lawyer Rebecca John said after Tuesday’s sentencing that the case against the Talwar’s, based largely on circumstantial evidence, amounted to a "witch hunt" and said "there has been a serious miscarriage of justice in this case.<br />
<br />
"The couple came under suspicion soon after their daughter, Aarushi, was found dead in her bedroom, her throat slit with surgical precision. Police initially named the Talwar’s missing Nepali housekeeper as the prime suspect, until his lifeless body was found a day later on a terrace above Aarushi’s room.<br />
<br />
The double-murder became one of the most closely-watched whodunits in recent memory in India, with dramatic turns by police and prosecutors seizing national headlines and launching debates over details of the case.<br />
<br />
Prosecutors for the Central Bureau of Investigation had asked for the death penalty.<br />
<br />
"Such crime comes under the rarest of rare cases," prosecutor Naresh Yadav said. "So they should be awarded maximum punishment.<br />
<br />
"The investigation determined both victims had been hit with a golf club and later had their throats slit.<br />
Police offered several possible motives in prosecuting the parents, including an honor killing.<br />
<br />
Several other suspects had been questioned by police. After the case stalled, the Talwar’s in 2011 demanded a fresh investigation.<br />

The high bidding came just a day after the most expensive work of art ever sold at auction went for $142.4 million to conclude six minutes of feverish bidding at Christie's. The hefty price tag for a 1967 Francis Bacon triptych called "Three Studies of Lucian Freud" shattered the previous world record - nearly $120 million paid for Edvard Munch's "The Scream" at a 2012 Sotheby's sale.<br />

Christie's said the winning bid went to Acquavella Galleries. It is believed that the New York City gallery was buying it for an unidentified client.<br />

Buyers from Asia, the Middle East and Russia play a big role in the contemporary art market, said Richard Feigen, an art dealer and collector whose Manhattan gallery, Richard L. Feigen & Co., has works spanning from the 14th century to contemporary art.<br />

<b>QINGDAO:  China's richest man plans to spend 50 billion yuan ($8.2 billion) to build the country's version of Hollywood in the northeastern city of Qingdao.</b><br />

In a glitzy, star-studded red carpet event on Sunday, Wang Jianlin said his company, Dalian Wanda Group, will build a state of the art film studio complex in a bid to dominate China's rapidly growing movie market.<br />

The Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis's 20 studios will include a permanent underwater studio and a 10,000 square-meter (108,000 square-feet) stage that Wang said would be the world's biggest. The facility will also include an Imax research and development center, cinemas and China's biggest film and celebrity wax museums. The first phase is planned to open in June 2016 and it will be fully operational by June 2017.<br />

A yacht marina, eight hotels and a theme park will be built to attract tourists.<br />
The company has signed a preliminary deal with "a number of global film and television giants and talent agencies" to shoot about 30 foreign films a year. It did not name the companies.<br />

Wang also hopes to attract more than 50 Chinese production companies to make at least 100 domestic films and TV shows a year at the studios, where sets will simulate locations from Europe, the Middle East and China's Ming and Qing dynasties.<br />

Dalian Wanda, which operates cinemas, hotels and department stores in China, last year bought the US cinema chain AMC for $2.6 billion and snapped up British yacht maker Sunseeker in June this year.<br />

The tycoon's red carpet event in Qingdao underlined his outsized ambitions for China's entertainment industry. Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, Catherine Zeta-Jones, John Travolta and Leonardo DiCaprio rubbed elbows with Chinese stars including Zhang Ziyi, Jet Li and Tony Leung at the event in Qingdao, best known for Tsingtao Brewery founded when Germany colonized the city a century ago.<br />

Hollywood has been eager to expand distribution in China as domestic box office revenue stagnates. But the Chinese government tightly controls the market, allowing in only 34 foreign films per year for national distribution. At least 14 of them must be made in 3-D or for the big-screen Imax format.<br />

Wang was named China's richest person earlier this month with a fortune of $22 billion by the Hurun Report, which follows China's wealthy. Forbes also said Wang rose to the top spot on its China rich list, with his estimated fortune rising to $14 billion.<br />
