ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has presented a report to the Election Tribunal (ET) pertaining to the verification of thumb impressions on the votes cast in NA-258 Karachi constituency during May 11 general elections, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to the report presented to the ET, the number of total votes cast at 18 polling stations was higher than the counter files.

In the shocking revelations, the report stated that 658 voters cast more than one vote while 435 voters did not belong to the constituency. 386 counter ballot did not have the thumb impression at all.
The report further revealed that a voter named Muhammad Saleh cast eight votes.

The NIC numbers registered on the counter file no. 4680 were fake, the report stated.
It may be mentioned that NADRA verified the thumb impressions of 46 polling stations out of 287.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Abdul Hakeem Baloch won the NA-258 seat during the May 11 elections.
