KARACHI: Seven more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Wednesday, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Malik Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Shakeel Malik said that a total of 1098 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 1040 were detected in Karachi and 58 in rest of province. He said 11 dengue patients had expired in Karachi this year so far.
Malik said that 49 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Sindh, while three patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment across the province. He said seven new cases were reported in the city on 11th September and one case was also detected in Hyderabad.
He informed that 45 cases were detected in Hyderabad, two in Kambar, two in Sanghar, two in Shikarpur , two in Thatta , one in Larkana, one in Dadu, one in Khairpur, one in Naushero Feroz, and one in Kashmore since January 2013.
